We are Devon Libraries staff who work in the Local Studies Centre in Barnstaple together with Devon Archives and Local Studies Service and the North Devon Athenaeum.
We will be following the progress of the First World War over the centenary years and researching the lives of the local men and women who were involved in each stage.
We hope to share these stories with you in commemoration of those whose lives were lost or irrevocably changed as a result.
All of the information has been researched using original records and documents and family history online sites which can all be accessed by any member of the public during our opening times. Please see our website for details, opening times, ID requirements etc.
